Wireless ecosystem sample

CAN2GO controllers and gateways can control a large variety of wired and wireless end devices for multiple applications. Below is a sample of the wireless products that SCL Elements has tested with CAN2GO products. This is to give you an idea of the possibilities that CAN2GO products create for your energy efficiency projects, and is by no means of complete list of compatible end devices. Many more end devices have already been used by system integrators with CAN2GO.

If the wireless end devices you are using for a project are not listed below, contact us and we will verify interoperability with CAN2GO. Third party end devices that use open wireless standards EnOcean and ZigBee are usually compatible.

HVAC, Lighting, Occupancy, Metering and other applications

Thermostats

These devices are used to get the current space temperature for a specific zone. They can optionally provide user-specified setpoint(s) for improved comfort, and occupancy/override button(s) to force the HVAC and lighting system(s) into "occupied" mode.

On some devices, the setpoint adjustment can be seen by the user in temperature degrees (written on the RW-TP01 knob, or shown on the ERT-STAT LCD and Lutuo LTTA bi-stable displays). On other devices, the setpoint is only seen as more or less (warmer or cooler), so the user only adjusts the setpoint in a specific band.

An optional fan speed setting is available on some models, providing a range such as "auto/low/mid/high" for the fan stages control. Most of these devices are truly batteryless, using light harvesting, including the Lutuo LTT which has a bi-stable display (it does not require power unless it changes). But on the wired models (such as the ERT-STAT), built-in control relays already require high power, so no energy harvesting module is present.

These devices report the ambient light level (in lux). They can both be used to check if the ceiling lights are on (for room occupancy detection) and to verify if the current illumination level is sufficient. For instance, a room controller could adjust the window shades and the lighting fixtures based on the external sun light reading.
